Time to start over. Haven't run since S.G.M.2008  I have been working out and have put on about 12 pounds. I feel strong but lacking in aerobic fitness. I ran a mile, then did some upper body, then another mile. I continued this and then ran an easy 2 mi. to finish up. I think I will be ready for another marathon towards the end of the year. I plan to add some speed work to this years training.

Nice to see your back. We'll have to do some long runs together this summer. I did Ogden over the weekend, it went pretty good.

From ryan on Mon, May 18, 2009 at 23:35:28 from 71.213.56.160

Yes, it is nice to finally have you back on the blog. In some ways i am jealous that you have been resting from running, while many of us have been training. It will be interesting to see if it will pay off for me. I just feel so burned out sometimes. I have probably ran twice as many miles so far this year as i had at this time last year, but i don't really feel like my fitness is much better than last year. I am sure that you can bounce back. you,ll be back in great shape in no time at all. good luck we'll see you around.

Ken, good to see you on here again - I had been wondering what you were up to. See you out on some runs!

Good to have you back Ken. I think STG took it out of most of us last fall. Good luck with the training this summer. You'll have to come out and run with us once in a while.

Ken, you are already running pretty fast. If i average faster than 7:00 pace on a run then it is usually tempo or speed. You are awesome you always seem to have a pretty fast "easy pace" on your runs. keep up the work.

Hey Ken,

How's it going? Good to see what you've been up to. I haven't been blogging my runs too much lately - I need to get back on the ball. I think after the 50 miler I'll start up my Marathon Training. Are you doing the Marathon this year?

I don't know if you have a race or not on Saturday but we're meeting at the Church behind the old store and running from Diamond down the Marathon Coarse to Snow Canyon and Back to the church.

It's 13.1 to the church, I think some will extend.

Hey Ken it is good to know that you are still out there. I have often wondered what you are doing these days as far as running goes. Are you still running some or did you kind of hang up the shoes after SGM 2008? I probably should hang mine up after my SGM2009 but as long as i can run i will but i am definately rethinking my approach. Pounding out high mileage just might not be my thing. Good luck and Happy Holidays.
